Cow Patty poker Rules

Benefitting the Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes Hosted by the Blue Ridge Kiwanis Club & Pathfinders Key Club

1. How to Play & Eligibility

  • Squares are sold online for a flat rate of $10.00 per square.

  • There is a strict maximum of 250 squares available.

  • Purchasers must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

  • You do not need to be present at the Thursday night rodeo to win. Winners will be contacted via the email address provided during online checkout.

2. The Grid & Number Assignment

  • The Rodeo Arena will be lined off into a giant, equal-sized grid containing 250 squares.

  • To ensure absolute fairness, the physical locations of the numbers on the field will be completely randomized right before the event. Purchasing a specific number online guarantees you that number, but does not guarantee a specific physical location in the arena.

3. The Main Event

  • On Thursday night, a designated cow will be released into the grid area.

  • The winner is determined by the square where the cow drops its first "patty" (does its business).

  • The Line Rule: If the cow’s deposit lands on a line intersecting two or more squares, an official Judge will determine the winning square based on which square contains the largest volume. The official Judge's ruling is final. The Judge will be selected by the Kiwanis Club and will not have an interest in a square.

4. Prize Payout

  • This is a 50/50 split event. 50% of the total ticket sales will be awarded to the winner, and the remaining 50% will be donated directly to the Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes.

  • If all 250 squares are sold, the Grand Prize payout will be $1,250.00.

  • If the grid does not sell out, the prize will be exactly 50% of the total gross sales.

  • If the patty lands on a square that was not purchased,  ALL FUNDS COLLECTED will be donated to the Sheriff's Youth Homes.

5. Fallback & Contingency Rules

  • The "Stubborn Cow" Rule: If the cow fails to do its business within  45 minutes of being released into the arena, the winner will be selected via a random drawing of all purchased ticket numbers.

  • Unsold Square Rule: If the patty lands on a square that was not purchased, the winner will be the Sheriff's Youth Homes - All funds collected will be donated to the Sheriff's Youth Homes.

  • Weather/Cancellation: In the event the Thursday night events are cancelled due to severe weather, we will try again Friday morning. In the case of two rainouts, the winner will be determined by a random drawing of all purchased ticket numbers.

6. Liability

  • By purchasing a square, participants agree to hold harmless the Blue Ridge Kiwanis Club, the Pathfinders Key Club, and the venue from any liability related to the event or the prize.
